At Tumbles, we expanded on traditional STEM education with innovative STEAM classes that teach art in addition to science, technology, engineering and math.
But we didn’t stop there. We also encourage kids to “feel” what they’re learning about with a variety of lessons in our gym environment that help increase retention and boost physical activity. Whether they’re in our STEAM lab or kids’ gym, your little one will learn to think critically and creatively, develop solutions, hypothesize results and test for accuracy—all while having a blast.
There are lots of STEM classes for kids out there. But the Tumbles STEAM program takes a unique full-body experiential approach that reinforces science, technology, engineering, art and math lessons with physical activities—so both brains and bodies get a workout.
While our STEAM program is tons of fun, it’s also grounded in international standards for math, science and literacy. All class activities require students to use Tumbles STEAM Thinking; a creative and critical design thinking process that encourages kids to find the best answer to a problem—not just an acceptable one.
~STOMP!~ What's that noise?! ~STOMP~ It's a DINOSAUR! Join us as we become junior archaeologists. We will study the characteristics of different types of dinosaurs, learn about how and why they are no longer here on Earth, dig for dinosaur bones, and even assemble our own dinosaur using fossils!
Let's travel to the mythical underwater city of Atlantis! How will we find it and how will we get there? What preparations do humans need to make to survive in an underwater world and what will we see when we get there? In order to answer these questions, we will train like archaeologists and explorers. We will learn about the oceans of the world, learn about forces that affect Earth's geography, how and why boats float, make a diving bell, learn about the undersea life that might live there now, and even make a working octopus tentacle!
This is a special class for our junior explorers, ages 4-6 years old.
Who doesn't love magic??! In this class, we will use physical science to explain how magic happens. We will learn about states of matter (solids, liquids, and gasses), volume, and electricity... of course, we will learn and practice some awesome magic tricks as well!
This is a special class for junior magicians 4 - 6 years old.
